Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

First off, didn't really do more than dabble in the Eclipse sets ("Phantom India" and a couple of the Saura films). So, no picks from those.
Best Release:
1. "Ace in the Hole"
2. "Army of Shadows"
3. "Berlin Alexanderplatz"
4. "Breathless"
5. "Paul Robeson: Portraits of an Artist"
Best Box Set: "Paul Robeson: Portraits of an Artist"
Most Diappointing: "Stranger Than Paradise" (just didn't feel that it really did justice to such an important film, even with "Permanent Vacation" as an extra)
Best Commentary: "if...." (McDowell gets much love with his commentaries this year; Mamet and Ricky Jay were a close second)
Best Re-issue: "The Third Man"
Best Single Supplement: the '30s "Berlin Alexanderplatz"
Best Design: the Darwyn Cooke covers for "Monsters & Madmen"
Best Surprise: "House of Games"
Richard Cranium Award: Buttery Jeb (hey, I never win anything...)

Pardon for interrupting, but where are the results for the previous polls? On the locked archive thread it goes from voting to comments on the results for 2006 without the actual results being available.

HerrSchreck.
As much as I love you guys, this man is great! Great humor and consistently great posts.

I want to say 125100, but maybe everyone knows something I don't. Did he or not find the film? Besides the, the bashing of all things seventies wasn't a good move, nor was the Hitler avatar.
If he does find the film, I elect the one guy who enjoyed Siamese cats.

This is the only non-work related forum that I frequent and the reason i come back again and again is because of the chemistry of its contributors. Some great writing, insights, and the occasional peek into the industry. But on the top of the heated heap I would have to put HerrSchreckino and MichaelB. And who has not run afoul of the cantankerous Schreck? Only keep in mind, here is a guy that manages to digest an amazing amount of cinema, write thorough posts, play music AND handle PR/Marketing for the dogged (sometimes dodgy) operation we have come to know and love for their silents catalogue (I thank Schreck and Tomasso for whetting my appetite for silents). My hats off HerrSchreck! (kersplatt....sniff sniff...I'm taking what their given'/cause I'm schillin for a livin'....burrrrrp).

I didn't realize that so many had issues with Border Radio. Guess I'll have to go to the BR thread and see what that's all about.
