2026, the centenary of Gaudí's death.
I guess that would make NYC's Cathedral of St. John the Divine the longest running church construction project. With work started in 1893, a decade after La Sagrada Familia kicked off. Somewhat of a protestant response/rival to St. Patrick's Cathedral.

I’m not sure that’s strictly correct.
They are waiting on the buildings opposite the (intended) front to deteriorate enough that they can evict the residents and legally demolish the buildings so they can build the massive entrance staircase. And then there’s the hope of making a cross shaped park around the entire site!
I was told that as a result there are many decades of work still to go…
