If you are a true Ophuls devotee, the documentary on the Second Sight is definitely worth seeing and rather informative, but as I haven't got the CC, I don't know how much of the information it provides is covered by the CC extras, too. Imagewise, the CC (not just on Blu) might be a notch ahead, and of course you can switch off the subs (I'm really annoyed that they're burnt-in on the Second Sight, even though I need them).

And if not, why in the hell not?!
Would there be enough interest for this? I know some people on this board did not buy each of the first 3 titles, while those who got the BR of Lola Montès would encounter a discrepancy in case size. I don't really mind having the titles separate on my shelves, with each the elegant covers displayable at will, which would not be the case in a box.
I can't imagine that there would not be. Also, it would seem like the better marketing decision, moving forward, to have an Ophuls box set available to new purchasers. The sleeve could be made available to consumers who had purchased one or more of the discs prior to the box/sleeve being made available. Either through a proof of purchase arrangement or even at a nominal fee. And there is no reason why the Blu disc packaging dimensions should have to be different than those of the DVD disc.

Had these discs not been published in paper sleeves it would not be so much of an issue. As it it stands now the discs constitute a decidedly half-assed presentation format, that is easily rectified, and one that is necessary if CC hopes to maintain its "standard bearer of the marketplace" reputation. (Which crown, if one takes a global perspective, slipped some time ago when MoC really got its game on.)

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but does anyone know if there is any Blu Ray coming for the other Ophuls films (Ronde, Letter, Plasir, Earrings) beside Lola , which I already own?

Thanks.
