I believe Bristol-Myers helped finance those films when they were made by Palomar.

Election, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and The Virgin Suicides signals that another batch has been licensed from Paramount. I imagine Elephant Man is a front-runner for this go-around. Perhaps Atlantic City, Margot at the Wedding?

It’s an all-time dream release, so I’m hoping a 4K resto of Reds could be on the table.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles and The Untouchables don't seem too far out of reach, though I suspect a few years down the road maybe, since they haven't gotten any 4K upgrades.

I feel like The Untouchables would be a title Paramount keeps to itself, like the Godfather, for whatever reason. I’d imagine they’ll cool it on the John Hughes for the short term too seeing as we’ll probably be getting three of his within a fairly short period.

Atlantic City, The Elephant Man, and Reds would all be first-rate selections as all inexplicably have no domestic Blu releases.

Reds does, but it was OOP for a long time (it came back seemingly once Warners stopped doing distribution for those titles) and looks like garbage. Ragtime, Par’s other 3 hour expensive period epic from 1981, has still not been released on DVD or BD though.

I’d like to see someone finally take on whatever the hurdles are to put out Looking For Mr. Goodbar

The Truman Show? The current blu-Ray is horrible and in need of an upgrade.

Ragtime came out on DVD from Paramount...

It would make my year if they release Wonder Boys.

Witness would be cool too.

Here's what I'd like to see from this new wave of titles from Paramount:

Atlantic City
Bad Company
Catch-22
The Day of the Locust
Gallipoli
Hud
Is Paris Burning?
The Miracle of Morgan's Creek
Ordinary People
The Parallax View
A Place in the Sun
The Red Tent
Romeo & Juliet
The Stranger
Targets
The Tenant
Testament
Waterloo
The Naked Prey Blu upgrade
The Furies Blu upgrade
White Dog Blu upgrade
Underworld/The Last Command/The Docks of New York Blu upgrade

I would love to see Bringing Out the Dead, The Gift, and A Simple Plan myself. (Heck, just a barebones blu-ray would be nice.)

YES, these especially. The MoC of The Last Command is quite nice, so I'm hoping they do the other two Sternberg films if not Criterion.

Now I'm getting way too excited.

Any/all of those Wilders would be amazing: Sunset Boulevard, Stalag 17, Sabrina.

48 HRS. would be one I'd like to see. Paramount has kept reissuing it but never seemed to take any interest in doing a special edition. Escape From Alcatraz comes to mind as far as that, too.

Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy, with all the deleted scenes, would be ideal. Although, after finally seeing the excised footage via bootleg... the studio was right, the reshoots are better

What's the deal with Roman Holiday? Nobody has put it out on Blu.

The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz would be a dream. I don't think it's ever had an uncut home video release, and director Ted Kotcheff (who just released an excellent memoir), would kill to do a commentary. Tons of CBC material on Mordecai Richler, too
