Amusingly, this movie is too good for the title The Gigantic Scorpian. No, it has to have a fancy Latin title. You have to be highbrow about these subjects.
Is the film an actual Delta Force sequel? I thought they were more concerned with terrorists, not giant scorpions? Surely in an age of international terrorism (where I guess there must be a market for the first films) this is the absolute worst time to move into sci-fi rip-offs? One producer to the other: "I've been thinking. I just don't think terrorism is high on people's list of fears at the moment - you know what would really revitalise the series? A bug - and not just any bug, a giant bug!

I'm not sure. I'm a bit baffled by the language on the cover. And you probably did see something very similiar to it in Denmark. I think the Danish title is "Fart Striber".

Well, since the website hosting the image is DVD Host in Norway, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Norwegian.

Those Norwegians and their crazy language!

By the way I clicked on ashirg's link and just seeing this made me want to see the film even less, if that is possible:
Vakker musikk av Sting og Bryan Adams...
It makes me wonder if there are any words in English that sound rude when people who speak other languages hear them.

When I say, for instance, "motherfucker" it is perceived as rude by Chinese.
Although perhaps that's not what you meant.

Was at the Dvd shops this weekend, picking up The Cardinal, The FBI Story, and 100 Men and a Girl, not to mention a back-up copy of Even Dwarfs Started Small ... and saw a bunch of winners (i.e. losers) for this thread:

Even the title of this is one is awkward: Mimic 3 - Sentinel.
Does the tagline ("Terror Has Been Re-invented") mean that this is a sequel? Or does the 3 in the title mean that this is the sequel to the sequel. In any case the lazy, formulaic horror cover is no doubt fitting.

Here's another generic-looking crappy horror cover. The only thing is that the cover is probably better than both the title and the abysmal tagline.

And still more:

When I was in the store, I thought the title of this was Volcano New York. Goofy and ridiculous, but far-fetched enough to possibly amuse. But now I see that the title is actually Disaster Zone: Volcano in New York. Uh-oh, the (potential) fun has dissipated. Did they actually take this premise seriously? Here the concept is actually more ludicrous than the cover. It looks like the Empire State Building is blasting off.

Well, there was also some Chinese film entitled CONTROL that had a laughably bad cover, but I can't find it on the internet. Probably this unwatched film. [Control Factor and Speed 2: Cruise Control have pretty silly covers, but not quite bad enough to be reproduced here]

 I just don't understand how something can be reinvented. So it has been invented (twice!) before and now it is being redone?

One that should have been used for Pearl Harbor: It makes D-Day only look like an affray!

And prevent all the future fun to be hand from this thing? There are tons of awful DVD covers just waiting to be born (aborted?).

The ugly covers aren't aborted, they are criminally born and allowed to live, Mr. Sausage. How terribly un-pc does that sound. Actually more distasteful, but meh.

But hey, good news for the future of this thread!

Because Jon has to read a thread from beginning to end. Even when there are only a couple of new posts and he read the thread yesterday he still has to go all the way through from the beginning.

Its a serious condition.

Tis true. Go look at the new CC Art thread.

And thank you for understanding my "condition".

Duh. It's clearly Candice Bergen.
