This time, however, my account credits read "$0.00" and the loyalty points are back to "499 to go". I was thinking maybe they used the gift certificate on the $59 order I made, but nope, my card was charged.

Haven't received any response from Criterion after two emails (and a tweet!) Bummer, as I would like to use the $50 for a few other releases during the sale.
By registered, you mean "sent to you by email"? They said that some people's loyalty giftcards were accidentally sent to their spam folder for some reason. Although it might be an odd situation - as you had 59 to go, and I think your order would work out to exactly $59 (as it only counts the dollar value, not the change, thus an order of 59.40 would only count as 59, not 60 - if I'm recalling all this correctly).

Also: you have to manually enter the giftcard code (which is case sensitive) on the payment screen for it to work.

Since I saw someone have this problem elsewhere: the discount code COOP - is case sensitive (so you can't type in "coop" or "cOOp" or whatever, has to be all capitals).

Nothing in spam folder, but the email I use for criterion is ancient, so *shrug*. I'm assuming the $59.91 purchase worked because the loyalty points have reset back to "499 to go" so the math adds up. My account just hasn't been credited with the $50. Hopefully, this is solved in the morning.

I placed an order totaling $99.85 and was one point shy of a gift certificate. So I emailed them and asked if I could modify order to add another release to get the points. They offered to reimburse my shipping if I placed another order and so I did and they agreed to reimburse shipping. A+ customer service

Sometimes as early as Valentine's Day, or as late as early March. It will be tied to a big release, so don't expect it on a date where nothing special is coming out

That would seem to put it squarely on Feb. 13!

Here are some pictures. It looks like there are some cropping issues on the covers that have borders, such as Inside Llewyn Davis. The entire left border is missing.

I am definitely getting it, but I am confused. So, this is like a collection of postcards or a book that features the arts? How do you put a bunch of actual postcards in a book form? I guess I just have to wait till I get it in my hands.

They're very sturdy, and easily detachable (although I haven't tried doing so yet). Hopefully they go back into 2013 and such before moving on to 2017.

Definitely looks like a book whose pages are detachable postcards, so not at all the same thing than the Criterion Designs book.

This seems funny now. I still have 6 or 7 Criterion postcards from those old days, when they were free and used to come inside the DVD cases. So, Criterion is rebooting their passion for postcards after almost 10 years, and this time, we have to buy them.

whenever the last flash sale was, November I think? I remember just browsing titles but didn't criterion take half price off the already discounted price they offer year round for all their titles? so a standard blu-ray would be half of $31.96 and not the actual $39.95 msrp or am I just remembering it wrong?

You've got it wrong.

It's a bit of a bummer if it really is tomorrow, considering the two big titles have already been available at 50% off. Was hoping that I'd be able to get the three other February releases!

Ah, well no big deal. I also thought the flash sale applied to pre order titles. I have no idea why I think these things. I haven't actually bought anything from the criterion store since 2015.

It's always 50% off MSRP only for in-stock titles (so no preorders or high demand titles that sell out during the sale).
