Is it fair to say The Masque of the Red Death is completely off the table for you guys?

Yes. Although I have no doubt that StudioCanal will release it in due course, since an HD master already exists.

I'd love to know what Arrow will put in the extras compared to Carlotta.
Both are very interesting but currently, The Killers + Double Indemnity is at 16.99€ on Amazon.fr, a price hard to beat since it's cheaper than a single release alone.

Definitely getting the Price set. I knew I'd find an opportunity to use my rewards points.

Great news that Arrow's next Bava is The Girl Who Knew Too Much. Been holding off on checking out this earliest of Giallo's til it came from them.
To say that I'm looking forward to it would be an understatement.
Good news too that Nekromantik's getting its own s/t CD - there's some great music in this film.

Since there isn't a thread for The Killers(1946). will this be sourced from the same source which the French blu is from (which looks gorgeous btw)?
Also, is it possible for Arrow to make the scene selection previews a little bigger, or at least add text. They're ridiculously small.

It will be exactly the same master, because Carlotta and Arrow teamed up to create it in the first place. It originated with Universal, but James White gave it a thorough going-over. Which means that, tiny encoding issues aside, both releases should look pretty much identical.
And there will be a separate thread once full specs are confirmed - I'm editing one of the extras right now, as it happens.

When can we expect the specs for The Killers?
Three week away from release. I'm starting to have the feeling it'll fall victim to one of Arrows delays...

I'm hoping for the Tarkovsky short to be included so I can sell off the Criterion.

I saw in Gary's review of the French BD that they have included the short. I would also love to have that short included in the Arrow release. Do you think its possible for them to add the short now?

Yes, because of this listing in the specs:
•More details to be announced!
But I don't know if there might be any rights issues involved.

I'm afraid it's looking very very unlikely. Approaches were made ages ago, but we're in deadlock over costs and materials and I seriously doubt that this is going to be resolved in time.
Although there will be plenty of other extras, some created exclusively for the Arrow release - I haven't totted up the combined running times yet, but we're talking at least 90 minutes' worth of new HD extras exploring the film from numerous angles and the usual crammed booklet.
Full specs and artwork (another Jay Shaw masterpiece that absolutely nails the film while looking nothing like earlier posters) will be unveiled next week.

Have Arrow confirmed that they have December titles lined up or will it be an off month?

I see Second Sight have confirmed that they have either lost or seceded the rights to release Society and Bride of Re-Animator in the UK. I see a lot of speculation that Arrow might have picked these up to release in the UK and US.

It appears it may be the case. Second Sight have said another U.K. label are definitely releasing them, and a person on Arrow's Facebook claims that a "special guest" at Celluloid Screams Festival told him that Arrow will be releasing Society. A plausible theory suggested is that the rights issues holding up the releases from Second Sight may have involved the U.S. territory, which obviously isn't a problem for Arrow.
If true, I wonder where this leaves a U.S. release of Re-Animator? It doesn't look like Image have any plans to release the new transfer, but would Arrow want to get themselves into a situation where they are releasing a U.S. only disc this early (not that I mind!)?

Bride of Re-Animator and
Society confirmed:
Arrow on Facebook wrote: Halloween is our favourite holiday and we can think of no better way to celebrate than to reveal (or confirm

) that we will be releasing the Brian Yuzna classics Bride of Re-Animator and Society!!!
Both titles will be Dual Format Blu-ray + DVD, Region B releases and arriving in 2015.

If I hadn't just bought the Capelight releases I'd be real bloody happy about that.

The way I figure it, the Capelight version of Re-Animator is still a required purchase, and the cheapest way to get it is in the 2 pack with Bride. So it's only Society I'm annoyed about, but it was comparatively cheap anyway.

Oh, I know. I'm just getting tired of other, possibly better editions of films getting announced shortly after buying an edition that seems as if it'll be the only one worth buying. Until you do. It's the Blu-Ray format's own Murphy's Law.

Arrow wrote:***Limited Edition Updates***
We have been getting a few queries about the availability of our upcoming and recently released limited edition sets so we thought it would be a good idea to post a quick update to enable you to plan your purchases:
Stray Cat Rock: The Collection: 30% left
Vincent Price in Six Gothic Tales: 70% left
Nekromantik: 60% left
Withnail and I: 13% left
Our Withnail and I set is now low on stock so if you are planning on ordering this edition we would suggest you do it sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

I can't remember if forum members asked for Ginger Snaps on here before so I'd like to plead for an Arrow BD struck from a new master (the Scream Factory BD uses the dated master from the 2001 Canadian DVD).

Not a Blu-ray.com reader, then! There's a Ginger Snaps obsessive who's been banging on about Arrow possibly acquiring it over literally dozens and maybe even hundreds of posts - so much so that it's become a running joke over there.
But there are no plans to acquire/restore it.
