Well, we're not necessarily done yet - there could still be an upgrade or something, if we're lucky.

We'll talk about this all in the WCP 2 thread once it comes but I'm fascinated that Yang and Weerasethakul make the box; I wonder if they rejigged their order to have some more high profile names after the first box lacked any of that kind of punch - and I wonder what this means for the prospects of what should be an imminent WCP Hou release (was he added at the same time as Yang et al?)

The first set had at least one bigish title, though yeah this is definitely some next level stuff. Revenge will probably be overlooked as a result, but it is a genuinely great film.

I think it's a great month. The addition of Yang to the WCP box makes it a must buy for me.

Jonathan Turell's sentimental connection to this film.

He has an Al Lewis doc which would make an extra.

Kevin Macdonald Some interesting choices for him. A doc on Bob Marley, Chaplin's Goliath, The Brief History of Errol Morris or Howard Hawks: American Artist.

Can it please be his still underrated masterpiece Touching the Void

Perhaps, and hopefully, it's for more than one film.

Brain Candy would make me as happy as pie, but if it was that, the page'd be Kevin McDonald, not Kevin Macdonald

Has Criterion made a phantom page for an extra? I'm not sure if his Shallow Grave documentary would warrant a director page.

I'd rather think it would be for Touching the Void - as IFC have the rights.

Unless it was an honest error and they meant McDonald then perhaps Guy Maddin's KEYHOLE would be the selection?

It seems that the phantom pages in recent months are more an indication of what's being added to filmstruck in the near future rather than a Criterion dvd/blu release.

does the main site notate FilmStruck the way it used to notate Hulu? Perhaps they're preparing for a site turnover that is more linked to FilmStruck?

Or maybe that short set that's been bandied as a possibility. Personally I wish they would have gone with Cote among the French Canadians, but this makes sense financially though.

Maelstrom hopefully, if only because Polytechnique has a perfectly good (and perfectly cheap) Region A blu-ray that probably couldn't be topped (unless Criterion added some of his early and/or short works as bonus features).
