Sausage is out of town for the next couple weeks--I'm thinking we can a have a round of film club in his absence and if we clean everything up afterward he'll never know the difference! Here are five titles randomly chosen from the runners-up of the last six months worth of polls.

I cancelled Hulu, so I only have access to Journey To Italy. Let's watch that one folks.

Yeah, Hulu is on my chopping block as well. The batting average for CC titles I've wanted to view with the service recently is abysmally low. Journey it is. Good Hulu alternative.

*Regrettably, I got this mixed with Scorsese's My Voyage To Italy, a very different animal. This Rossellini (masterpiece?) is begging for a deconstruction - a la Pasolini. There's no way he hopped on the Cahiers du Cinéma bandwagon for this one.

David Bowie features heavily (either as an actor or on the soundtrack) in a surprising number of Criterion films. Some we've already done (The Man Who Fell to Earth, The last Temptation of Christ). Of the rest, here five have been chosen for your voting pleasure. Have at it!

Well, in some of these, there's just one of his songs on the soundtrack, but I still think it's a fun way to categorize films.

I've seen all of these and they're all good/great, but I voted for Wild Strawberries because it's the only one that is making my list

Wild Strawberries is the only one I haven't seen, so it's an easy call for me.

It's my small gesture at impartiality to hand the victory to a film I didn't vote for (and The 400 Blows was looking lonely with its single vote).
