Speaking of tonal opposites, she also appears as a victim who provides a vital clue in The Boston Strangler (very NSFW) and also turns up in that wonderful parody of disaster movies The Big Bus as part of the random bus hijacker subplot.

I’m not a big fan of Altman’s MASH, but the one big lol moment for me is when they fire the starting gun during the football game and Kellerman yells out, “Oh my God, they shot him!” It’s just a perfect line delivery.

I forgot about this film until looking over her filmography, but Kellerman is also quite good as Diane Lane's narcissistic movie-star mother in A Little Romance.

I think Sally Kellerman's loss of the Oscar to Helen flipping Hayes for Airport is one of their most confounding bungling's of a no-brainer choice. She is so great in the film. & one of my favorite Altman details (i don't know if its actually in the film, i never finished Brewster McCloud b-cuz i thought it really sucked, but I saw this in one of my Altman books) is of Sally in a giant teddy bear costume as part of the circus procession at the end of the film, looking bemusedly at her fingernails.

Speaking of which I forgot that somehow Sally Kellerman briefly appeared as a guest on one of the On Cinema At The Cinema Oscar Specials! (This was one of the early specials where neither Tim or Gregg had begun injuring their guests at that point, though they are deep into their Star Trek II versus IV tiff here that climaxed with Tim taking the opportunity during his murder trial to question Gregg under oath in the courtroom)

Nicky Tesco, most famous for being a member of 1970s punk band The Members (who in turn were most famous for the single 'The Sound of the Suburbs'), but he also made brief but memorable acting contributions to Aki Kaurismäki films (Leningrad Cowboys Go America, I Hired a Contract Killer).

That's his best known film but I am rather curious to see his Airplane!-esque spoof of slasher movies Pandemonium, which has an astonishing cast including Paul Reubens, Judge Reinhold (released the same year he was in Fast Times At Ridgemont High), Phil Hartman and Edie McClurg! Even Tab Hunter, Eve Arden and Donald O'Connor in cameos! Surely it would be better than something like Scary Movie with all that talent?

And Tanya's Island (NSFW) looks absolutely wild! Like a mix of Lina Wertmüller and Joe D'Amato from that trailer!
