Cold Weather (Aaron Katz, 2010)

I don't know what the majority of posters think about Aaron Katz, but I think he is one of the more interesting american up and coming directors today. I found Dance Party, USA to be a little gem within the rubble that is the "mumblecore" (sorry) genre. And Quiet City was quite good as well.

btw, anyone else find the music in the trailer very reminiscent of Punch-Drunk Love?

Synopsis:
Cold Weather recently got selected for SXSW 2010 and it seems very atune with Katz past films. I'm personally excited to see how he handles the crime thriller aspect of the film, which seems like uncharted territory and big step in a different direction for Katz.A former forensic science major and avid reader of detective fiction, who, after making a mess of his life in Chicago, returns to his hometown of Portland, Oregon. There, he, his sister Gail, and new friend Carlos become embroiled in something unexpected.
