I like the Polish Brothers a lot, though I'm sure I'm the only one here who does.

I like their ambition more than their execution. Twin Falls Idaho and Northfork were interesting ideas but, for me, they never really came together when put to film.

The Polish Brothers are actually filming another film right now called Manure - their DP, David Mullen, is keeping a nice production log over at the RED camera user forum with images as well.

I've always been intrigued by the Polish brothers, but for me, their films have usually been high on concept, but tepid on execution. They seem to be on a run of decidely mainstream fare following the success of the The Astronaut Farmer.
Next up is a comedy, about a manure salesman, again with Billy Bob Thorton in the lead. Here is a gallery of set pics.
After this is another comedy, Stay Cool, about an author who returns home to give a commencement at his old school, but when an old relationship and a horny teenager get involved hijinks ensue. Winona Ryder, Sean Astin, Hilary Duff and Chevy Chase are set to star

To echo my comments in the forthcoming films thread, I like the Polish Brothers a lot. Their films aren't amazing, but they're high on charm and that they somehow are able to make these moderately ambitious films for such a low budget that they recoup from rentals and television/airline sales, thus have more or less free-reign on what they make, is a good model. It's sort of hard for me to not be impressed by how far they've gone making films that are somewhat esoteric, but accessible enough to appeal to mainstream viewers for rentals.

Just discovered that both this (now titled the Smell of Success) and Stay Cool, the last two Polish Brothers films that have been languishing on the shelf for a few years now, were unceremoniously dumped on DVD by Arc Entertainment a few weeks ago. For Lovers Only remains a digital-only release for the time being (no doubt because it's proved to be one of the few films released solely in this fashion that's proved profitable)
