Philippine Films on DVD

There are two Philippine films available on DVD with English subtitles that I'm interested in:
Himala (Ishmael Bernal, 1982)
Oro, plata, mata (Peque Gallaga, 1982)
Anyone ordered from the Philippines before? Any good online stores there?

I have ordered in the past from Kabayan Central -- but they have never carried the restored version of Himala (just the much older release).

Thanks for that.
Kabayan Central seem to have
Oro, plata, mata fortunately.
The new DVD of
Himala appears to be quite rare. :-k
Another question; what about this DVD of
Perfumed Nightmare (Kidlat Tahimik, 1978), is this the only release available at the moment?

I have the Les Blank/Flower Films DVD of Perfumed Nightmare, and it looks OK but not great. It looks as if it were based on an old analogue master. This is one of my all-time favorite films, it's incredibly funny, sharp and even poetic. It may be the pinnacle of "third cinema."

Thanks for the info.

Got an email from the
Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP); a restored edition of
Genghis Khan (1950) will be released on DVD in May 2015.
Here's hoping that
Insiang (1976) will be next. A restored version of the film will be screened at the
Cannes 2015 Film Festival.

Has anyone succeeded in getting the DVD of the recent-ish restoration of Himala?

Holy crap, thanks for the heads up! I wonder if they're available worldwide? Is there a way to see a listing of all the restorations?

Now available.
FDCP emailed me and the DVD was launched during the inauguration of the
Cinematheque Center in Manila this month and is exclusively available at the gift shop there. Hopefully I'll get a copy somehow.

It's on Wikipedia when you search for "ABS-CBN Film Restoration".
