Warner Brothers is combining their holdings with the Paramount acquisitions to release a 40 film, 38-disc John Wayne collection in May. As you can see below, they'll be in stupid fucking slots, but at least this takes the sting out of a lot of these OOP titles for those who don't already have 'em all:

Wasn't their confirmation that more John Ford movies were coming from Warner on blu-ray this year? I guess this is that confirmation? Are these all blu-rays?

All DVDs, unfortunately. But hey, they've thrown in a belt buckle!

It's Warner, of course no blu rays.

Yeah, I asked George Feltenstein about the possibilities of more John Ford on Blu-Ray in hid reddit Q&A last year, and he said that several titles were likely possibilities. I'm not surprised the mega-box is DVD only, but they apparently do have some Ford in the HD schedule.

I really, really would love to see She Wore a Yellow Ribbon with a transfer that's universally praised as being color correct. The Searchers has obviously been debated, The Quiet Man some people question, and Drums Along The Mohawk the negatives are lost. A pure, correct Ford technicolor would be so great.
