This thread is for compiling Blu-ray releases of TV shows/miniseries (both American and International) which are not available on Blu-ray in RA / the US. PM me or post below to add titles to the tally.

If the title is not 1080p but is interlaced 1080i (or 1080/50i), be sure to note that as most US players/TVs can't handle interlaced transfers.

If you can confirm either because you own it or there's an image of the back cover stating it's 1080p, let me know that too so I can put it in safety blue color on the listing.

Potentially problematic releases have notes highlighted in this color.

Dead Set (2008) - on blu in Germany and Spain (back cover for Spanish set on Amazon says 1080i)
Agatha Christie's Marple - seasons 1-4 on blu in Spain (only season 5 is on blu in region 1) - back covers for seasons 1, 2, 3 are on Amazon.es - season 1 is listed as 1080p and 2 and 3 are 1080i

Life on Earth and Trials of Life are both 1080i by the way.

Thunderbirds is indeed cropped on the UK release, but the Japanese release retains the original aspect ratio, and has a superior image. Blu-ray.com listing here, comparison video here. It's region free and 1080p.

I loved Mongrels, especially every episode's big musical number, so am glad to know that it got a Blu ray release!

And I was happily shocked to realise that the fourth wall breaking, cross dressing comedy Mrs Brown's Boys developed out of an Angelica Huston film! The UK critical community seems to hate Mrs Brown's Boys, and it is pretty broad humour (with some lashings of po-faced sentimentalism that I'm not too fond of) but if it means anything it is the only thing that I can watch with my parents and all end up in tears of laughter with! (Luckily I don't think that my parents fully understand the dirty jokes! :-$ )

King (Canadian show): Both seasons available in Germany. Region B, 1080p / 23,976 fps and rather low video bitrate.

Thanks all, should be all updated now. It's sad there are so many question marks as far as 1080i/p goes. And sometimes the packaging doesn't even help -- the back of Maison close just says it's in "PAL"... oh really Arrow, thanks!

So, I can now confirm the Australian Blu-ray of the Slap is region free. However, it opens with an SD PAL DVD releasing card, so it won't play on players incapable of PAL playback (I know, in this day and age, there are such players... like my Sony, which won't play PAL on even region-free DVD titles). It plays just fine on my region-free Blu-ray player, but I had the same trouble with the excellent Spanish Blu-ray of Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day. So, a heads-up

Updated with news of Germany's (probably) problematic releases of the remaining non-HD in the US seasons of That 70s Show on Blu-ray

We should also add the UK Blu-ray for Series 1 of Utopia, now that it seems that David Fincher is apparently going to be helming a US mini-series remake from next year. It looks as if Series 2 is only coming out on DVD though there is a petition for a Blu-ray release.

Contains the only two (or should that be four?) surviving episodes of this pre-Python Terry Jones and Micheal Palin vehicle apparently only every broadcast once, and then only in the UK ITV London Weekend franchise area.

* 50-minute feature containing new linking material by Palin and Jones
* Interview with producer Humphrey Barclay
* The first two episodes as transmitted (the only ones still to exist)
* The first two episodes as recorded (includes untransmitted sketches)
* All existing film insert material
* Brand-new booklet by archive television historian Andrew Pixley

Pros: Nice to have this material available in a comprehensive quality package.

Cons: There's a lot of repeated material and over all, especially the unbroadcast versions of episodes one and two, has issues re pacing and isn't that funny.

Not true - US players and TVs can't handle interlaced transfers at 50hz. Probably worth clarifying.

Rectify Season 2 is on blu in Australia. Only DVD release is coming in June in US.

I asked eOne whether they intend to release Season 3 on Blu-Ray, and sadly they don't. Shame, as their releases of seasons 1 and 2 were great. Fingers crossed the French oblige and their release doesn't have forced subs!
