Joining previously announced jury president Darren Aronofsky will be Daniel Brühl, Audrey Tautou, Matthew Weiner, Bong Joon-ho, Claudia Llosa, and Martha De Laurentiis.
Weiner's You Are Here and Joshua Oppenheimer's wonderful The Look of Silence will both be screened out of competition.

Pretty mediocre reviews for Herzog's Queen of the Desert. Taxi (Jafar Panahi); Queen of Earth (Alex Ross Perry) and 45 Years (Andrew Haigh) are all getting excellent reviews.

Saw some very brief excerpts from "Taxi" on German TV today. With all due respect to Panahi and his situation: putting a camera on the dashboard of a car and have the passengers talk so as to create a picture of contemporary Iran sounds (and actually looked) terribly like a remake of Kiarostami's "Ten"...

Where are the reviews of Queen of Earth? The first public screening isn't even for another 13 hours...

Just going by reactions on social media. Press screening was early today but reviews can't be published until the gala screening. Life (Corbijn) screens for critics in a few hours but it's under embargo until Monday. The Wenders and Malick films screen for press on Sunday. I think they do this because most press and buyers (distributors) leave after a few days and don't stay for the whole festival.

Taxi (Jafar Panahi); Queen of Earth (Alex Ross Perry); 45 Years (Andrew Haigh); The Club (Pablo Larrain) and Eisenstein in Guanajuato (Peter Greenaway) seem to be the stand out films at this year's Berlinale.
It's especially nice to see Greenaway make a comeback!

Very interesting that a documentary took the best screenplay prize. I'm really looking forward to Taxi; The Club and 45 Years which were all well rewarded.
