Online Film Databases and Resources

Seemed like a good idea to start a thread about searchable online film databases, film sites etc.

This one isn´t often mentioned in forums:
https://cinefiles.bampfa.berkeley.edu/c ... elcome.jsp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Tens of thousands of scanned documents, down to typewritten screening handouts, from the University of California, Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive. Some are freely available, others require registration.

Also:
http://filmint.nu/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.filmsite.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

DVD-Basen is still my go-to site for looking up DVD/BD reviews.

I figure a few people will appreciate this website which is dedicated to highlighting all sorts of short films (obviously). It seems to be focused exclusively on relatively new films, but for such an ignored part of the art that's more then forgivable.

Several years ago, someone posted a link on this forum (not this thread, obviously) to a website that contained tons of archived scans of printed reviews and articles for classic films. I do not remember who posted it, what topic it was under, or most importantly what the website was. I've tried searching, but I didn't get very far searching for general terms like "classic film database." Can anyone help out with this?

Filmpolski.pl is a colossal, insanely comprehensive database of Polish film and television that's my first-choice portal for pretty much any filmographic info in connection with that particular country. (Quite aside from anything else, names are invariably written with the correct diacritics, which is by no means a given with more English-friendly sites.)

The Czecho-Slovak Film Database isn't up to the same level, but it still knocks spots off the IMDB and also spells names correctly.

There is, unsurprisingly, a linguistic drawback with both.
