Just noticed this submission to the BBFC a couple of days ago...

Buñuel finally part of MoC! :D

How do you know Eureka submitted it?

I swear that message doesn't come up anywhere when I click on that link. I even did a word search for it.

Got it, thanks. Of course there's always the possibility that this is Eureka Classics instead of MoC, though I sort of doubt it. (This isn't exactly top-tier as far as Buñuel goes, though this seems to be the year for that sort of thing from them.)

I discovered it by searching for Eureka and noticed it at the top, and then saw the submission date, so it's definitely coming from them.

Fairly certain Buñuel qualifies as a 'master of cinema', even more so than Fleischer, Mulligan or Guillermin, so I'm 99% sure it'll be MoC rather than Classics.

Anyway, happy to see at least one Buñuel from them since several of the rights to his best films seem to still be with StudioCanal (or possibly still Arrow in the case of Viridiana and The Exterminating Angel). Anyone happen to know why Los Olvidados still hasn't got a Blu-ray release anywhere in the world though?

Also great to see some classic French-language stuff from MoC, finally. Not had any since those two Bernard ones! Be interested to know where they've sourced this one from...

Would be the first Blu-ray release outside of Japan which should surely be applauded.

A roguish adventurer, a hooker, a priest, an aging diamond miner and the miner's deaf-mute daughter walk into a bar... Details are now up on their Facebook Page.

MoC seem to have changed the subtitle font they've been using for years.

They look really small, which is fine projected, but on even a decent size TV you might struggle.

Definitely a huge improvement on the version I saw previously! I did, however, find the subtitles a wee bit hard to see. Not an indispensable Bunuel film, perhaps, but definitely an interesting one, well worth seeing. I was disappointed by the Rayns piece, but loved the Piccoli interview (and liked the Victor Fuentes one).

The runtime of 99 minutes seems to be off by around 5 minutes. It ran 1:43:55 for me

Yes, there's a typo on the backcover. The length of the movie on the BD is exactly 1:43:55.437.
