Hoping she's still going to have time to play Elizabeth Holmes in the inevitable biopic

Maybe you already know, but if not, I'm sorry to be the one to break this to you.

I don't mind the star nearly as much as the director, who will surely make the whole thing unbearable. Oh well. There are so many filmmakers I'd rather see tackle this who would approach it with the necessary tone, and not just the big names either. Marianne Heller, Antonio Campos, Brady Corbet - all people who aren't gigantic names who would do something much more appealing with the subject matter - and those are just three off the top of my head.

After suffering through Vice, I couldn't agree more. It's a shame too because the book is riveting. I haven't finished it yet, but Alex Gibney film on Holmes called The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley just premiered on HBO. So far it's incredibly engaging and I think will more than satisfy people who were taken by the story.

Gibney<McKay. Still it is sad to see McKay squander his genuine talents. I'd love to see him make another The Other Guys type of film. That one also used his political interests in a much more interesting way then his more explicit films have.

The Gibney doc is absolutely great, and will surely be better than whatever McKay does here where a tangential character who is a stunt cast cameo turns to the camera and says "She doesn't know what she's doing, folks! It's a scam! Just watch!" or whatever the hell. Or an aside where Jennifer Aniston explains to you how blood testing works while she's wearing her freaking bra, eh folks?!

I have no problem with Adam McKay's breaking of the fourth wall. I just wish it would be to be funny or make a good point, not preach to the choir or sound like the results of reading thru an /r/atheist user's post history

I've just started the Carreyrou and actually think Lawrence is good casting (voice-wise too). I'm sure McKay will go straight to his The Big Short playbook, but maybe it's better he makes it than someone like Sorkin or Stone.

Breaking my brain trying to determine how often Taylor Swift's song will be featured.
