I just stumbled across this, and I believe it is in fact for a real movie:

Aw man, I don’t want to see a movie about a guy whose penis explodes.

You actually don't appear to be all that far off. Going by the Imdb description it appears to be on that level of uh, tastelessness? It's about trying to hide the fact that Dick is dead with a content description that describes the film as having "disturbing sexual material".
I mean I kind of want to know now but I also kind of don't.

I shamelessly loved Swiss Army Man for many reasons, but using toilet humor metaphorically for relatable existential crises and actually landing them effectively is no easy feat, so I'm game. Hopefully half the team doesn't mean half the movie though.

So it's just Swiss Army Man again?
I hated it enough the first time.

Looking forward to Netflix' forthcoming "Castration Comedies" subcategory with this and 'The Package' and, I don't know, 'The Professor and the Madman.'

81% on Rotten Tomatoes. Bribery?
(Almost no reviews by "majors")

Maybe genuinely good? I didn't like it, but his earlier film was well liked.

I didn’t like Swiss Army Man, but this was surprisingly good. In terms of plot progression it’s reminiscent of a Coen Brothers movie with a poorly thought out plan derailing from the get go and the stupidity of the characters dialled up to 11. This isn’t a gross out comedy though and the film displays surprising empathy towards is staggeringly dim characters. The slow roll out for the reason Dick Long died is played for shock value and yet its handled in a more low key way than expected and ultimately goes for the tragedy of family ties unravelling rather than for sick laughs. The two female cops investigating the case are well drawn and the whole film is played for queasy suspense as they close in on the truth. An unexpectedly pleasant surprise about an unpleasant surprise.

This is indeed a significantly better film then Swiss Army Man with a lot of little details that give a lot to love. Honestly I'd say the movie's primary mode is sweetness as the movie warmly presents routes of empathy for these characters.
That said this does often feel like a pale shade on the southern pseudo juvenilia of Danny McBride. I imagine him and that team could have brought out even more from the film. Though that would be a radically different movie and perhaps I am being unfair.
