Anyone know if Arrow ship titles individually? I made a single order for all three.

They don't and they are really bad about honoring pre-orders from different months that sell out

They definitely do for me in both stores. I just had Dressed to Kill and Lifeforce shipped individually and have another pre-order pending. I paired the Dollars films with two other in stock discs and they’re already awaiting dispatch.

Oh, my mistake. Maybe they've changed policies or I've misread some complaints about pre-orders getting cancelled from Arrow's store.

Now that I think about it, I did see some posts on the other forum that confirm what dwk said. Hopefully my experience mirrors nicholas's. These are some of the most requested titles and I don't usually preorder, never mind for titles that get released across several months but with me being in the US, I couldn't justify individual orders for each of the films with a whopping 20 pound tracked delivery charge.

Just to confirm, none of these are censored in the UK?

To go by DVD Compare, it doesn’t seem so, which is really good news.

They’ve been shipping pre-orders as they’re released for a while now in my experience; I can only assume due to the amount of flack they were getting for not honouring pre-orders.
Maybe dwk’s thinking of the ongoing issue of requiring renewed confirmation of a payment method if you pre-ordered months earlier via PayPal?

The paypal issue did happen to me on my last pre-order and I switched to my debit card for the Dollars films for that reason. No other store has this problem but Arrow's. I love the work James and the MacKenzie brothers and Cliff MacMillan do but THG's customer service and store is the absolute pits.

Wait, do you mean preordering through Paypal can cause specific issues with Arrow's webstore ? I always use Paypal but havent preordered stuff since years there.

Yeah, for some reason, their website's hold on the Paypal payment expires after two or three months and you have to resubmit the payment if the order doesn't get dispatched before payment gets taken on your original Paypal submission.

That's very good to know (and of course I used a £10 credit on this order).

Arrow takes payment when they ship, correct?

Not when you use payment methods that don’t allow pending transactions, such as Apple Pay. These will charge straight away but PayPal and credit / debit cards charge upon shipment.
And yes, PayPal does cause infrequent issues. Depending on the amount of items and their release, it’s usually the second or third charge that fails and then you’d either need to renew the PP “connection” with Arrow or switch to another payment method. If you order in stock items, there should be no problems but the worst IMO that can happen with using PP is that if the charge issue arises shipping is delayed a little bit until you resolve it. I’d rather take that but have PayPal’s buyer protection in case things go wrong.

When I saw The Dollars Trilogy, I got excited & thought finally a comprehensive box with all 3 that included original (mono & italian)! Now that I see you have to buy all 3 separately, I'm a lttle less so. Why no comprehensive box for the 1st 3000? It's not like it wouldn't easily sell out & then could switch to individual titles after the first run. (particularly after just picking up all 3 on Eagle Pictures UHDs for Xmas, your welcome everyone!)

They can sell these separately and people will buy all three. If they sold, say, the Bruce Lee films separately, a lot of people would only buy select titles

Truth be told, I’m only interested in the last film. I enjoyed the other two, but I don’t think they’re on the same level.

My favorite is the second. I held off on watching A Fistful of Dollars for the longest time because I hold Yojimbo which it's based on in high regard but I ended up enjoying the Leone film a lot more than I was expecting.

The lack of a box set doesn't bother me. Perhaps the individual releases were a stipulation from the licensor?

I went ahead and ordered all three, along with Dressed to Kill and Ringu ltd editions. So will they send everything at once or wait till the preorders are all in stock?

My favourite is also For a Few Dollars More, but like most people into these films I’m here for all three (perhaps my favourite mainstream trilogy of films ever, in fact). Strange if MGM didn’t allow a box set, since they released box sets of the films in the past (and even added a non-Leone film in one of them for the hell of it; Hang ‘Em High), but not complaining too much as this will spread out the cost a little.
Think I’ll go for the Blu-ray as I have been doing whenever possible for these Arrow 4K restorations but could always pick up the UHD discs at a later date if I do ever upgrade. Wonder if this might spur Eureka into looking into upgrading A Fistful of Dynamite, though they don’t often have the sway with studios to restore things like Arrow or Criterion do.
Anyway, in short I can’t honestly see Arrow topping this
if we’re talking dream titles to release definitive editions of!

Separately. You should see “awaiting dispatch” in your account next to Ringu and Dressed to Kill right now and receive a tracking email in 1-2 days.

by What A Disgrace
I suspect that the individual films are so big on their own, and that they have so much tat they can fill them with, that it would be inconvenient to do a boxed set. It seems to me they have a limited number of unreasonably big boxes that they can release every year, and this one would have been somewhere between Coffin Joe and Bruce Lee in size.
Also, they can probably make more money this way.

Even though specs for TGTBATU wont be announced till March I'm glad to see that the product photo shows 4 discs hopefully meaning both versions of the film are being offered

You're not alone. I still have not upgraded to 4k and have been buying the limited edition blu rays of Arrow and BFI discs, and I'll pick up the 4Ks later as long as standard editions remain in print!
