I been reading various negative reviews on the image quality. Even though the idiots at Warner did not restore the discs, what is your take for those who have purchased it?

I was plannig to purchase this on the next DDD sale but all I have seen are bad reviews and many mistakes in the release. Here is a look at some reviews:

It seems that since people have only childhood memories of this show, they don't remember or don't care how the image looks now on DVD. It was really stupid for Warner to not remaster the transfer of the show, especially since the price of this set is higher than other animated series. I hope that they do something soon to correct this situation.

I was digging for some news on the cuts and bad tranfers for this set and found a link in the HTF forum which analyzes the alterations and errors. Here is the link:

In the thread you can also see that Gord Lacey, from tvshowsondvd.com emailed Warner about the problem and they replied saying that they are looking into it. I suppose that Lacey will be the first one to know if they are going to fix the problem for this set and future releases.
