I just happened upon this and thought others might be interested, as well. Hoping for English subs.

It's in my shopping cart. Olivier Assayas has been heavily involved in this with Debord's wife (see last month Cahiers du Cinéma issue for French readers). I don't have any info re English subs, but fear there are none.

Amazing -- his complete body of work! How the hell did they get all the rights clearances?
By the way, if it does not have English subs, people can still follow along using Ken Knabb's translations in the Complete Cinematic Works book.

Knabb's translations are also available on his Bureau of Public Secrets website. He also posts regular updates on a project to issue Debord's films with English subtitles based on his book. All this can be found at: http://www.bopsecrets.org/SI/debord.films/index.htm.

I have been creating English subtitles (i.e.:synching the scripts translated by Ken Knabb with the video) for Gaumont's excellent Debord boxset for some time, it's pretty easy to add them to the DVD

Is there any evidence yet that Gaumont have issued a corrected edition? They aren't exactly known for their promptness in these matters.

I received this set on monday. I wasn't aware of these problems before I ordered it. When I ordered it, a few online stores and even Gaumont's own webshop had the box in status of "re-stocking", so it could've suggested a reissue.

I've taken only a glance through the discs. It seems that "Hurlements..." now has the complete black segment in the end as there is no dialogue after apprx. 45 minutes. Watching "In girum...", it looks like the audio track is in sync with the video. The other glitches mentioned in the article, I cannot confirm if they're corrected since they're much harder to locate.

And what I just noticed while writing this, it says on the bottom of the box: "DEUXIEME EDITION". So perhaps we could assume the glitches were addressed on this edition...
