Oh dear... another sign of the impending apocalypse...
80's video vixen Tawny Kitaen made her 1984 film debut in the cult classic The Perils of Gwendoline. Due on June 27th from Severin Films, the 105-min. Unrated Director's Cut has been fully restored from French vault materials featuring scenes never before seen in America. The disc will include an anamorphic transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 & 2.0 tracks, audio commentary with director Just Jaeckin, "The Last Temptation of Just: Interview with Director Just Jaeckin" featurette, an audio interview with "Gwendoline" creator John Willie, Kitaen's photospread for French LUI Magazine and trailers. Retail is $29.95.

The original 88-min. theatrical cut will be available separately with an anamorphic transfer, Dolby Digital 2.0, the featurette, photospread and trailers. Retail for this is $19.95.
I like the bit where it says "fully restored from French vault materials." Next to the deleted footage of The Magnificent Ambersons I'm sure.

While we are raiding the Just Jaekin vault, where is an anamorphic transfer of the Story of O and any kind of DVD of Madame Claude?

(Yes, Madame Claude sucks even more than average for JJ's oeuvre, but Dayle Haddon is hot, and no amount of Klaus Kinski is too much Kinski...

Dayle Haddon should have been a bigger star.
