New connections sections on their website:

A Little Sex

World's Greatest Love Stories

Ingmar Bergman

Akira Kurosawa

Kill, Baby, Kill!

I'd like to know exactly whose idea of a sex film Naked is.

Thank goodness they added those Bergman and Kurosawa connections, I don't know how else I might have managed to get a list of all the Criterion discs of their films.

And how did Heaven Can Wait not make the World's Greatest Love Stories list?

A Little Sex... who uses these lists?
I'm imagining a lounge-suited lothario saying: "Ahh, tonight my love, I've got something a little, uh, special: I've got this list of uh, sexy films, heh heh. I think a double bill of Hiroshima Mon Amour and The Night Porter will get us in the mood..."

It should be noted that the chief slogan used by feminist picketers at Naked's cinema showings in the UK was "five pounds for five rapes". Mine cost £17.99. :(

Wow. Fabulous thread. Smug know-it-all sarcasm because there's nothing else to say. My head is floating amidst the clouds of your diction.

This thread reads like one on the 49ers board, only better punctuated.

1) I hope that when Salò gets reissued it's included on this list.

2) I'm surprised they haven't come up with the "celebrity dongs" connections, featuring Short Cuts and Bad Timing.

They're waiting until they bring The Pillow Book and The Brown Bunny into the collection.
