A little known Canadian indie-thriller I caught on the Sundance Channel some time ago. The basic plot is this: a young photographer stays at a seemingly cosy (but isolated) bed-and-breakfast and becomes obsessed with the landlady's bedridden daughter. It starts off atmospheric - not at all scary - so when the bludgeon to the head comes, it's a bit jarring. Things get creepy from there...
On the whole this was a poorly-made, poorly-acted film, with a script that feels as if it were concocted by a group of high-school students for a class film project (cheesy dialogue and plot-holes galore). The atmospherics were OK, but amateurish and a bit cliche.
Anyone else seen it?
