Warner Home Video has announced an upcoming deluxe edition of Body Heat starring William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, Richard Crenna and Ted Danson. This new edition will boast never-before-seen lifted scenes, three new featurettes (described below), a 1981 interview footage with Kathleen Turner and William Hurt, and a theatrical trailer. This release will be completely remastered in a widescreen format, will retail for around $19.97 and is expected to be released on 24th October 2006.
The three featurettes are as follows:
Body Heat: The Plan: Explores the script and the cast with new interviews from Lawrence Kasdan, Kathleen Turner, William Hurt and Ted Danson
The Production: Explores the making of the film and production stories - with new interviews from Lawrence Kasdan, Kathleen Turner, William Hurt, Ted Danson, Richard H. Kline (director of photography), and Carol Littleton (editor)
The Post-production: Explores the editing, the music and the theatrical release - with new interviews from Lawrence Kasdan, Kathleen Turner, William Hurt, Ted Danson, Richard H. Kline (director of photography), Carol Littleton (editor) and John Barry (composer)
