I'd rather three unrestored minor films by Randolph Scott and John Wayne for $3 each, then the same three films restored and selling for $12 each.

Judging by the screenshots on dvdbeaver, the picture quality is pretty good considering the age of the films. I'm sure if these same three films were released by a no name outfit the picture quality wouldn't look half as good.

I'm glad I'm only interested in the Western titles anyway, which all appear to be OAR. I picked up one of the Randolph Scott discs but haven't had time to check it out yet. I'm not expecting much for $3 a movie but those Beaver caps look acceptable.

My thinking was similar to porquenegar's until I began reading posts over at Home Theatre Forum saying these dual layer discs have been freezing up a la Universal's early francise collection releases.
