Pathé Distribution Ltd. have announced the UK R2 DVD release of The Wind That Shakes The Barley for 6th November 2006 priced at £19.99.

This two-disc special edition DVD features a commentary by director Ken Loach and Professor Donal O'Driscoll, an in-depth 45-minute character profile on the director, a stills gallery and the original theatrical trailer.
What do we know about subtitles on this one? I think they'll probably be beneficial.

Just watched it... The Pathe disc is on rental preview in Ireland...

There are Eng subs for the hard of hearing (nice and big)...

Probably you will not need them, although Cork accents are a law unto themselves....

It's a good film - can see why it won the Palme D'Or...

Is actually more about the neverending cycle of violence that turns friend against foe, and more saliently friend against friend...
