John McClane vs. Internet Terrorists... I don't know if this is going to work, but I want it to (I'd also like to see Wiseman give Beckinsale a cameo, preferably as a hot internet terrorist who gets NAKED).

It's a strange phenomena. It's as if these movie franchises that have a history with the audience liberally allow themselves to be reinvented. It's the same with Mission Impossible: one hero against adversity, three different films with a very different main character and scenarios.

It's really amazing how John McClane ends up being the only cop who can figure out this situation again.

Anyway, this would only be worth watching if the head internet terrorist was the PC Guy

Also, I can't believe they didn't get Reginald VelJohnson to reprise his role again.

This is truly an awful teaser, but I'll still be seeing the film. What can I say? I am a Die Hard apologist. I can't wait to break out the DVD for my annual Christmas Eve viewing!

I opened this thread so excited about a new Wiseman documentary. Ole' disappointment, you don't ever disappointment me!

It is consistent with the series' tradition of absolutely horrendous titles, but shouldn't it be Live Free and Die Hard? It seems like McLane wouldn't want to choose. Anyway, no one but John 'Wiretap' McTiernan should ever be allowed to direct a Die Hard movie.

But the phrase is "Live Free or Die." I'm not sure what connection the movie has to New Hampshire, but there you go.

As for the movie, I liked With a Vengeance, but Len Wiseman is no McTiernan and Justin Long is no Samuel L. Jackson.

Fear not, I get the reference. I still say it doesn't make sense.

Let's just hope Wiseman resists the urges to make everything blue and put Bruno in some post-Matrix fetishwear. He went a little overboard with Underworld flicks.

I can't stand action movies with the exception of the three Die Hard movie, which have done everything an action movie can do as far as I'm concerned. I have very little faith that there are enough new and exciting ideas to justify a fourth film.

I don't think Willis ever left, not sure if this would be a comeback.

I'll watch it, but it won't be the same without McTiernan or Michael Kamen.

I hear you on Kamen. His scores added so much to those films. I hope the filmmakers realize how sorely his themes will be missed if they don't appear in 4.

Hopefully whoever composes the score will do what John Ottman did with Superman Returns, and utilize the themes from the first film into this one. I've said this before probably, but I was really affected by Michael's death. Not only out of appreciation for his work as a film composer, but also his work in the pop and rock fields and his humanitarian streak.

Bruce Willis sure seems to like these internet themed films. From internet terrorists to online hookups gone awry!

Oh boy, Kevin Smith just revealed on his blog that he just finished five days of filming his small role in the film.

This thing has disaster written all over it.
