Universal Home Video has sent over details on thriller Breach which stars Chris Cooper, Ryan Phillipe, Laura Linney, and Dennis Haysbert. The Billy Ray directed film will be available to own from the 12th June, and should retail at around $29.98. The film itself will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with English and French Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround tracks. Extras will include a commentary with Writer/Director Billy Ray and Former FBI Operative Eric O'Neill, deleted scenes with optional commentary, alternate scenes with optional commentary, a Breaching the Truth featurette, an Anatomy of a Character Brought to You by Volkswagen, and "The Mole" as Originally Aired on Dateline 03/05/01. A HD DVD/Combo release will be available seperately for $39.98.

I'm also looking foward to seeing this one. For some reason, even though the trailer was shown on local TV and theaters, the film never got released in Puerto Rico. I loved Shattered Glass and from the looks of it, this one looks pretty good too.

I listened to this really great interview with Billy Ray and former FBI agent Eric O'Neill on NPR...really excited to see Ray tackle his recurring theme of duplicity, and watch Chris Cooper act his fucking ass off.

Am I the only one that finds it amusing that now even DVD extras are having corporate sponsors?

I noticed that too - how bizarre. As I recall, in the film, Ryan Philippe's character also drives a Volkswagen.
