Well, they're quite obviously using the print that was recently shown on TCM (of Boom I mean). Which looked excellent of course, but I'll still wait for an American release.

I don't know if I'll be able to wait for Universal to drag their sorry asses and release this one. Very tempting, that dutch DVD! Thanks for posting this!

I recorded Boom! on Sundance Channel today. It's in widescreen. They will show it again at 5:15 am EST (and repeat at 8:15 AM EST on Sundance West)

Can someone please guide me on how to buy Boom from that dutch site? I think I'm going mad here!

2) Click on Maelström
3) Click on Plaats in Winkelmandje
4) Click on Verder Winkelen
5) Click on Winkelmandje
6) From there on it must be easier to follow!

Not sure how user friendly they are. Delivery to US was purportedly free when I went to check out, but that doesn't sound right.

Thank you so much for that! I think I was able to correctly order one copy of Boom! at the astounding price of €12,95, P&P included! We'll see how it goes from here.

I also ordered this a week or so ago and I though I saw a later release date than May 14th, I think it was something like 25th or 28th. I haven't yet received shipping confirmation or anything. But anyway now it says on that page that it's available.

Same here. Mine hasn't arrived yet. Still waiting for some kind of confirmation.

I ordered it from Proxis yesterday. A bit more expensive, but they deserve my extra euros for being English-friendly.

Ok, my copy arrived today - no shipping confirmation of any kind. I ordered it together with Cammel's White of the Eye and the prices do include P&P!!!

Pro's and cons: anamorphic 2.35:1 but alas the transfer is interlaced, NTSC to PAL conversion with ghosting and also a tad soft.

Same here and I second your thoughts on the DVD. Still, my antecipation was so big that I already managed to watch it from start to finish. Needless to say, this is a movie you should NOT watch in pan and scan format - the widescreen is gorgeous.

Fascinating car wreck. Couldn't take my eyes off it the whole time.

This goes out to anyone who has bought the australian DVD of Boom. How does it fare?

Thanks for the caps for Boom! but just by seeing them, I think I'll stick with my dutch DVD until Uni in the US decides to release it. Only then I will decide if I want to upgrade it or not.

Just out of curiosity: does it come with the original trailer as announced on several aussie etailers?

Is there a way you can upload it to youtube or something? I've never seen it before and I'm a sucker for old trailers..

Thee two films (Secret Ceremony and Boom!) are playing at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles tomorrow, for those of you interested.
