Has there ever been a bigger career nosedive? His first half-dozen films are, for me, just about perfect examples of their genre. Everything after the halfway decent
A Few Good Men and
The American President is just dreadful though.

Then Archie Bunker was right after all.

He may well be the man behind Spinal Tap and The Princess Bride (not to mention a few other so/so films) but I'll always remember him for The Story of Us... the film I consider to be the worst ever made.

Why won't Hollywood give Nicholson and Freeman an Oscar already

I guess the "bucket" also refers to the one you're going to need beside you in order to watch this film.

Yes, Francis Coppola. But I love Reiner. His early body of work, like Coppola, solidifies his standing in my mind as one of the great modern, albeit commercial, directors.

It looks like an ad for Banana Republic for 60- and 70-somethings. I liked Jack Nicholson facing his mortality when it was called
About Schmidt.

Haha YES! I love that poster, because before this poster, The Bucket List, was just an awful looking movie, but now it looks like it's the worst movie of the year. So it just might be worth watching.
Either way, I hope I die before this comes up on my bucket list.

Warner Bros. won't make any money on this because everyone who sees it will be getting the senior citizen discount. I can totally see my dad going to see this, though. He raved about
Something's Gotta Give.

I haven't liked a Rob Reiner movie since Spinal Tap.

For me, Misery, which I rank up with The Dead Zone and The Shining for King adaptations. I think the guy has made some pretty damn good movies, yet every time I see his name tied to something now my face contorts into a look of utter disgust, this movie included.
