Weren't there rumors that Murray used to abuse (physically/emotionally) Gilda Radner? A person can change a lot in 30 years, but I was wondering if anyone else had heard something similar.

Yeah, keeping his options open (ie: being open to returning home to the Hollywood comedy genre) seems like a good thing. He certainly wouldn't want to be pigeon-holed.

Overall he has had a mediocre film career, artistically speaking. After viewing his first film recently "Foul Play", it's so evident that his over the top mugging really did him in, when "less was more" in his case.

Yeah, it was apparent even in the early SNL episodes that he was relying on his cheekbones a bit too much.

This is some remarkable logic:

I already thought so, but it doesn't really matter to me if it's joke or if it's serious because its descriptions are hilarious no matter how insane the premises or convoluted the inner logic.

One Bill Murray performance I love that always seems to go unnoticed is as Dustin Hoffman's roommate in "Tootsie." It's not a very large part, but he pretty much steals the movie any time he's on screen ('THAT is one nutty hospital.' ).

It's a terrific interview, perhaps the most at ease I've ever heard Murray being interviewed. No roundabout, sarcastic answers - and things get very reflective by the end.

Howard almost makes up for the toned down nature of his show vs the old days with the quality of his interviews.

His more sedate pose of current times allows him to convince A list elder statesmen like Murray to step in and relax and not worry about getting sabotaged with on-the-spot phone calls from former lovers, dick jokes and the like.

It was a hell of a day with Billy Idol and Bill Murray in one news-free run.

There's going to be a Bill Murray Christmas special directed by Sofia Coppola. No word on Shields and Yarnell or Sid and Marty Krofft puppets.
