Just a quick warning, we were supposed to get a few of the gift sets in at the shop where I work (they didn't show up in the mail today) and after speaking with our distributor evidently Warner Bros. is having big problems with these sets - not only are they having distribution problems again (shades of the Kubrick sets) but evidently a lot of them have the wrong discs, including a batch that has fullscreen copies instead of widescreen. Just wanted to put this out there for anyone who might be purchasing a copy (or giving one as a gift).

For what it's worth, I don't think the high-def sets are having any issues, although, again, the ones we ordered didn't show up. I'm watching the SD version of Order of the Phoenix now and it seems to be up to the same high standards as the previous installments. I'm looking forward to checking it out in high-def soon.

The Digital Bits has posted another problem with the sets, this time affecting the high-def versions:
One last quick note today - some readers who have purchased Warner's Harry Potter: Years 1-5 - Limited Edition Gift Set on Blu-ray Disc are reporting an unwelcome surprise in the case. Films 1-4 are the Blu-rays as ordered, but The Order of the Phoenix is the HD-DVD version. D'oh! Make sure you check your case before you leave the store. Wonder if the same is happening in reverse...
