Did a search and didn't find anything posted about this release coming on June 8th.



Shouldn't it be 41st Anniversary? Wasn't this release in 1967?

It was released in 1967, and those of us who were there can attest that the movie was no fun even when stoned out of our minds.
After hours of contemplation, and in an attempt to say something nice, I can only come up with the soundtrack music by Burt Bacharach which is still supercool in a retro sorta way, and Dusty Springfield's definative "The Look of Love", which is different, and better, on the soundtrack than on the hit record version.
Anything else good to be said?

It was supposed to have come out last year but it got postponed. That's why.

Why would they release this? No one wants this.

If I was unlucky enough to own the rights, I'd probably want to reissue it in the wake of the Daniel Craig version. I doubt too many people will be stupid enough to get them mixed up, but stranger things have happened.

And there's always the Woody Allen completist market, assuming one exists.

I have the older MGM release. I only still keep it because it includes a 1954 (I think) TV show episode adaptation of the novel with Peter Lorre as Le Chiffre.

Not only Allen completists - Val Guest fans like me might well want it.

Mind you, even I haven't stooped to get Boys in Blue.

It's years since I watched it - probably in a Woody Allen season on the BBC - but I seem to remember that there were a few funny bits amongst the wreckage.
