This looks real good. Love that cover art. Gotta love Lang films dealing with Nazis.

This thing has been in the pipeline forever. My friend Paul Jensen was interviewed for the making-of doc literally years ago. Glad to see it's finally on the schedule.

Is it just me, or has Fox really scaled back its library titles this year?

I believe all the studios laid off hundreds of their employees last year due to the economy, and I imagine many were in home video.

Waterloo Bridge would probably top this, but it's a close run thing. ;)

Did anyone else think McGilligan hated the movie? Half the commentary was spent suggesting other Lang or saying how ridiculous/ silly such and such aspect was. Some how the hate made me like the movie more.

McGilligan is quite right in pointing out that this is not quite top-tier Lang, even considering only his American period (I would rank Scarlet Street, Woman in the Window or You Only Live Once as superior for example). But he still highlights that Lang often managed to circumvent the constraints of the script and of a limited budget, for example with the farewell scene on the bridge.

And of course, second-tier Lang is still way above most other movies, whether from the same era or from today.
