I think that the Munich Filmmuseum are in the process of sprucing some of his work up for DVD, no doubt with his involvement. But I've got no idea when they'll see the light of day.

Edition Filmmuseum initially planned to release most if not all of Achternbusch's films in their incredible series. But unfortunately due to modifications in the rights they were not able to do so. A shame, these Kluge 2 disc editions are beautiful.

Having bought the 5 films on DVD yesterday I can confirm that there are no subtitles in any language but the image and sound is very crisp and well defined. The set comes with a little booklet and some nice extras (discussions and interviews with Achternbusch). So, overall I'm more than happy that at least 5 of his films are seeing the light of the day!
