Mala Noche, from mk2, and why hasn't anyone mentioned this yet?
Janus may own it, Plexifilm still wants to sell it, but I might die before all that ever materializes, so....you win again, France.

By the way, the DVD also comes with a trailer and a Van Sant interview as extras.
I have been wanting to see this film for a long time. I was going to watch this in when MK2 released it theatically about 6 months ago in Paris but was too busy with work. I'm quite curious and excited about this film... I wonder which Van Sant will turn up... :-k
EDIT to add trailer

That is 100% correct! Plus the director is treated with much greater respect in France than he is here (being the US) so likely there will be some notable extras.Don Lope de Aguirre wrote:What is Criterion likely to offer that MK2 wont?FYI, a new print of Mala Noche was struck by Janus for theatrical release later this year, so a Criterion is almost certainly on the horizon. If you don't mind waiting, it's probably a good idea.
