Very funny. Well, after growing up on Empire of the Ants and Dynasty, Joan Collins is and will always be a SUPERSTAR to me!

It seems, the 5th title will be Rally 'Round the Flag, Boys. Also available separately.

Extras are only on Girl in the Red Velvet Swing disc:
* Audio Commentary with Film Noir Historian TBD
* Meet Mary Anderson
* Noir Poster Art
* Still Gallery
* Interactive Pressbook Gallery
* Theatrical Trailer

Fox Noir:

* Daisy Kenyon
* Black Widow
* Fourteen Hours
* House of Strangers
Looks like it was planned to be a part of Fox Film Noir Collection, but was changed to go with other Collins films. The last part is probably trailers to those films. Extras on other discs are limited to "Restoration Comparison, Theatrical Trailer, Still Gallery". Disappointing that there's no Joan Collins commentary on any of them.

It's linked from Lasersedge so it must be official. The individual cases have similarly-themed art. Hopefully it's the final version...

Awesome. I've been meaning to check this out since Robin Wood listed it in his Sight and Sound top ten. I also really dig McCarey. Now if only we could get My Son John and Make Way for Tomorrow on DVD...

Thanks Michael, all the proof I needed to justify why I've never been able to rally around Joan's flag for the past 35 years. Nice pumps though.

From HTF:
Received a copy of this box set ahead of schedule - I just love films from the 1950's and an added bonus is having four in wonderful 2:35 CinemaScope with The Girl In The Red Velvet Swing presented in 2:55. The other four titles included are: Rally 'Round The Flag, Boys!, Stop Over Tokyo, Sea Wife, and Seven Thieves. Looking forward to watching all of them and did manage to view a few minutes of Stop Over Tokyo - it looks wonderful and if it is any indication Fox did another great job! They all come with inserts and Lobby Cards as well as a Commentary, Restoration Comparison,Trailer, Interactive Press book,and Advertising Gallery with Stop Over also having a Hollywood Highlight extra and The Girl In The Red Velvet Swing getting " From Ingenue To Icon" Featurette. Also included is a 10 page Booklet with information about each film. All in all a good deal. Hope there are more like this down the road!

I just received this as part of an order I placed at DVDPlanet in their "Buy 1 Boxset get 1 Boxset free" promotion. I must say that irrespective of Collins' qualities as a star, this is a lovely presentation in terms of artwork, booklet and lobby cards + fairly extensive extras.

Including films by Hathaway and Richard Fleischer in addition to McCarey's Rally 'Round the Flag Boys, this may actually not be the waste of space and money that I had feared. Incredible that Fox has not gotten around to giving more of their stars this kind of treatment.
