Trailer

Wow, a Richard Gere movie I actually might really like.

I just finished watching the trailer myself and it looks intriguing. Gere surprised me with his performance in the The Hoax earlier this year, that while flawed, was a pleasant enough diversion.

and, of course, after THE MATADOR, you do have to extend an element of trust to Richard Shepard ... anyone who can make a Kinnear/Brosnan vehicle into something not just watchable but remarkable commands respect, and this has just rocketed up my must-see list ...

Just saw this on Showtime. A pretty good effort by Shepard, and the leads have some of the chemistry that a good road movie needs but not all of it. I'll put it ahead of something like Body Of Lies, which felt more a forced and intentional reminder of the world outside us without little room to be entertaining (it still has it's good marks though). Overall, between this and The Matador which I quite liked as well, Richard's a guy to watch.
