It was released a few weeks ago.

Xploited Cinema listing

Amazon.FR listing

I have a DVD-R of Big Shave, Italianamerican and American Boy, but I have wanted to see the earlier stuff for years. Shame about the forced French subs.

American Boy is off-the-wall hilarious.

Absolutely. May be my favourite Scorsese.

These films were mooted as a potential Criterion title, but that may well have been idle gossip / random speculation. Surely somebody will come out with a less English-hostile release, though.

Big Shave, Italianamerican and American Boy were issued a while back by Criterion on a laserdisc called THREE BY SCORSESE. It was a barebones release on a single CLV disc. Steven Prince, the subject of American Boy, played the gun dealer in Taxi Driver, Easy Andy. His recollection of injecting adrenaline into a woman's heart who overdosed was recreated in Pulp Fiction.

That's right. Voyager/Criterion. Criterion was a division of Voyager.
