I too have ordered the La Jetee/San Soleil disc from DVD Planet and have not received a confirmation of shipping. Are they going to wait until the street date before shipping?

And not even a review to whet my appetite! Is this not important enough to receive a pre-release review? The Seven Samurai and The Third Man received reviews at least a week in advance of the street date.

I have four Criterions coming my way: La Samourai, Pickpocket, Bicycle Thieves and In the Mood for Love.

I'm looking forward to those more than I look forward to Christmas.

Received my Late Ozu yesterday from cd-wow, so three weeks from order to delivery. Slow but still the cheapest weay for UK residents to get R1 sets that are over the customs threshold. I paid £27 with postage included and I see axel music would charge £29 plus £5 postage. DVDPacific, which I always use otherwise, would charge some $54 postage included (£27) but I would have to pay serious customs charges on top of that.

CD Wow have now shipped my outstanding non-Criterion orders, but my pre-orders for the June Criterion releases are still stuck on "Pre-Release".

Has anyone received any of these June Criterion titles from CD Wow (or had a shipping notice):

La Jetee / Sans Soleil
The Two of Us
WR Mysteries of the Organism
Sweet Movie
If..

I ordered WR and Sans Soleil together from DVD Planet (missing that 20% off sale by a mere day!) on the Wednesday after WR was released and saw the WR shipping notice on Thursday. Still no shipping notice on the Marker DVD though. Oh well, WR should cheer me up and keep me busy.

Robinson Crusoe On Mars

off of Amazon.com... I was surprised that they were already listed... It said today was the first day for them to be listed.

Gigi... I can't tell you how crazy it makes me that DVDPlanet always ships to you BEFORE they ship to me. How? Maybe they figure international orders take longer and therefore want to get them out quicker? Or maybe you're dating that quiet girl that works in customer service who maybe just MAYBE longs for a better life in a sunnier climate and dreams that you will be her way out?

Either way, I'm not getting my Teshigahara box any time soon.

Man, I guess I'm lucky and the good news is that I should get it by Thursday via UPS overnight delivery.

I was surprised to receive my shipping notice for the Teshigahara set yesterday after the slight delay with the Marker disc. Apparently, things are back to normal.

Strangely, I received my Ace in the Hole shipping notice today, but it did not also include the Bernard set. I thought they would ship together.

I would be very wary of ordering anything from CD Wow at the moment (see earlier posts in this thread). I strongly suspect that the warehouse fire and BPI fine has put them in financial trouble.

Their reputation was based on fast shipping, competitive prices and good customer service. All three have recently deteriorated to a point where it wouldn't surprise me if I heard that they were in receivership.

Raymond Bernard set shipped today from DVDPlanet. I was beginning to wonder if the release date had changed because it did not ship with Ace in the Hole and I have not seen any reviews yet.

Mine shipped today from DVDPlanet as well. It just so happens that DVD Beaver put their review up today.
