Some time ago, I suggested that this forum begin selling T-shirts emblazoned with the phrase: "Nothing is certain at this time."

In light of recent events, however, I now suggest that the slogan on the Criterion Forum T-shirts should be: "I am Jon Mulvaney."

Out of curiosity, what were the questions?

I'm sure I don't still have them. This was at least 3.5 years ago.

New Eric Skillman blog post about Mike Allred's cover design for Seduced & Abandoned. Great stuff. Allred's one of the most amazing comics artists around, and as with Jaime Hernandez, it was great to see him show up in the CC.

There's a new post up, about the Soderbergh commentary for The Third Man. It also mentions that Soderbergh and Mike Nichols recorded a commentary for the non-Criterion release of the 40th anniversary of The Graduate.

was surprised the DVDBeaver review mentioned that the reviewer doesn't like Soderbergh's commentaries-- maybe it's because I share his sense of humor but I've always found Soderbergh's commentaries to be insightful and entertaining.

agreed. I also love that he's willing to do commentaries for movies he's a fan of (Third Man, Point Blank, Catch-22).

…"Seabiscuit" and "The Yards," both underrated.

Well, I suppose now we know what spine #405 will be, although we're still in the dark about #s 400 and 401.

Eric Skillman on An Angel at My Table.

I wonder if he could give any insight on the Breathless cover.

I think whoever is responsible for the Breathless monstrosity is going to take it to their grave(s).

I'm actually amused by that since I remember seeing the booklet cover and thinking "that would have been a better cover." Uh, not that I get hung up on stuff like that.

And didn't Narshty get incensed by it at the time?:

Yeah, it'd be awesome if Antonioni's death led to a confirmation of a DVD release.
