This can't be Criterion headquarters, can it?

Did you notice that the person who did the "grooming" is credited.

Vanit Fair always credits stuff like that. They probably got the grooming for free in exchange for a credit.

Hey, who are you and how come your avatar is moving? Are you Mulvaney, by any chance? Or Mr. Becker himself, just having a flight of vanity flair? ;)

Since people have already made all sorts of observations about the people in the photo, I'll go ahead and say this: I was a little taken aback at how overwhelmingly white the staff is, especially for a company based in New York City.

Congratulations for this ridicously pointless comment, criterion will now be sued by politically correct evangelicals, and put out of business.

I want you to know you are fully responsible, and thus we will all sue YOU for the distress you will cause us from no more criterion DVDs being available.

Isnt it wonderful, the freedom of speech allowed in America.
thankyou and have a nice day.

Manhattan is pretty white (not counting the tourists, who add some Asian into the mix). No surprises there. Besides, couldn't you tell from the films they put out? :-P

Are their employees from the same borough? :P The city as a whole is only about 50% white.

Census data. It's actually about 45%, but I was giving a conservative figure.

Okay, but I bet the white-collar population of the city isn't. :) (what are we arguing here?) In any case, the lack of racial diversity hardly seems surprising given (1) the titles they choose to put out, (2) their location, and (3) the industry they are in. I would be a little surprised if they were in Los Angeles or San Francisco, or if the collection itself were significantly more multicultural, but as it is. . .

If Mulvaney claims he's a real person, has anyone tried e-mailing him and asking if he would identify where he is in the picture? It doesn't seem too unreasonable.

Anyway, I can't be 100% sure, but he looked a lot like the second guy down under the Gimme Shelter poster (not the scruffy looking one, but the clean-cut blonde one). Of course, that was a long time ago, but maybe...
I thought we concluded he was a fictitious person who they used to respond to emails.
