Forget Colleen Atwood, Ewi Wada is costume designer extraordinaire. I've only seen half of her stuff, but that's enough to win me over.

Yes, absolutely stunning, the designs for "Ran" and "Dreams" are a joy to behold, and the only good thing about Greenaway's "8 1/2 women" must be Wada's costumes. As you've seen half of her films, did you by any chance see Ichikawa's "Princess of the moon"? I haven't read any assessment of the film so far, but am intrigued by Ichikawa's early work and of course Wada's designs. Would just like to know whether the disc is worth buying, as apparently Ichikawa's art much declined from the mid 60s onwards.
