Why isn't Brute Force in the "Shelf of Crime Stories" on the front page? It's set in a prison, for pities' sake.
Sad to see the laserdisc listings go, as well as the Focus pages which, despite only being updated every 18 months on average, did have some pretty good notes on its given topics. The geek in me (which is pretty much all of me, to be fair) misses the "About the Transfer" info too.

They added the November titles.arsonfilms wrote:Well, the new site has been launched. Overall I think it's looking pretty nice, but I must say that I'm deeply concerned that the latest title being listed is Under the Volcano. Unless they're just behind, we've had all of November's releases taken away. This doesn't bode well for Decembers announcements next week.

The "Coming Soon" and "New Releases" pages aren't displaying properly in Firefox for Mac for me, but I'm sure it will be worked out in the next few days.criterionsnob wrote:I'm sure they're still working out the kinks, but the new site doesn't display properly in Safari on a Mac, though it looks okay on Firefox.

Must have just been behind for a few hours. Praise your friendly neighborhood deity!eez28 wrote:They added the November titles.arsonfilms wrote:Well, the new site has been launched. It's still there, they apparently haven't finished working on the site and haven't linked it yet. You know that it usually takes them a while to completely finish revamping the site, so a little patience is due.

I like the new site quite a bit. I never noticed they had posters for sale, for instance. Its also very handy to have those top ten lists that have been coming in the newsletters. It is unfortunate to lose the Laserdisc section.

For future reference, Wikipedia's list of Criterion's laserdiscs is nice (it's sortable on the page, even though it sorts by director first name and initial articles). I, however, will be pestering Criterion to restore the listing, even if its only accessible as a hidden feature/easter egg type thing.

You mean this one? Are you pulling my leg and it was there all along?kinjitsu wrote:I seem to have lost my bookmark for the laserdiscs. Care to share?Matt wrote:I, however, will be pestering Criterion to restore the listing, even if its only accessible as a hidden feature/easter egg type thing.

I started to laugh at the thought, but then quickly realized that my own arrangement by spine number - separate from my other DVDs - really isn't any less ridiculous or dorky. I stopped laughing.SheriffAmbrose wrote:Those shelves are embarrassingly corny. Although I imagine that someone somewhere is currently arranging his shelf of Criterions according to those lists.
