After 20 years, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 finally receives some respect - at least in the DVD department. This September, MGM will release the much-wished-for Special Edition DVD of the sequel to the most shocking film in the annals of American Cinema. Anybody who picked up HorrorHound #3 will be able to check out detailed information on the history of the film, including interviews with the cast and crew, rare memorabilia shots and info on this very DVD release - but we have something extra to those internet wanderers - Starting tomorrow, HorrorHound.com will be posting exclusive interview content from such stars as Bill Moseley, Caroline Williams and Lou Perryman - it's what you didn't read in HorrorHound!

This explains why I can't find a copy of Horrorhound #3 anywhere.

I'm a fan of this movie, I didn't like the first, or any of the others, but this one is wild and out there.

This is an excellent DVD. You have to give MGM big props for this one. I finally watched this film the other day, and the big question comes:

"Just a bunch of wild and crazy kids, out having fun"

Which song sampled that? I know I have heard a song, and most likely own. For some reason, the first thing I thought of was Primal Scream....
Was it them?

Are you thinking of Skinny Puppy's "Shadow Cast"?

MGM and DVD producer Michael Felsher did do a good job. It's just that I can't help but feel disappointed that the directors cut Tobe Hooper thought he saved from Cannon never showed up. I guess we'll never see what the complete arc for Hopper's Slim was, nor the original design of the film before Golan/Globus enacted their revenge.

Skinny Puppy sampled several lines from this film. As I recall, a few metal bands have as well.
