Now I've come across this R4 release by Madman as well which has the advantage of English subs.
Here is what a DVD reviewer had to say about the comparison of the two editions:
Now I'm from Montreal so my French is fairly decent. Subs are certainly appreciated and preferred, but not at the sacrifice of overall quality. What I'd like to know about, is how the transfers compare and overall presentation of these releases. Should I opt for the R2 or R4 disc? Save for one additional supplementary interview, the features appear to be the same. What's the consensus here?Paris Vu Par… was released in France earlier this year. The R2 France DVD includes the same technical specifications and extra features as the local release plus an additional featurette titled The Screens in the City: interviews with Barbet Schroeder, Jean Rouch and Claude Chabrol (13 minutes). However English subtitles are not available on the R2 France DVD release.
