I can't believe there is no "best Eclipse" or "best short film". They shouldn't be bundled with the extras and Eclipse released are naturally not Criterion level because they are bareboned.

Eclipse DVDs have only been available in 2007, so a "best Eclipse" category would theoretically turn out the same as it did in our recent 2007 CF Awards.

How about a separate category for lower-tier releases? It seems unfair to relegate a great release like Pickup on South Street to compete against multi-discers.

I think we've compartmentalized these awards more than enough

Boo. Best Cover and Best Package but no room for Best Lower-Tier. I'll protest silently.

I'm glad I don't have to go through this again for the next 10 years. My god, I had to look through all the spines in the collection.

Can we please get more of the regulars of the forum to post in the voting thread! It seems to have been taken over by newbies.

I suggest we extend the deadline and campaign for some of our regulars to vote. Matt? David Hare? Schreck? etc. etc. I'd like the results to be at least somewhat representative.

Thanks, David! Now I have no reason to hold back buying that HD DVD (except money!).

And I know your list will come from your heart.
